On July 6th, 2010, XiLing 2010 Spring Art Auction comes to a successful end. With 18 special sales in total and turnover of RMB 65,200,000, this 2010 spring auction reaches a new height. Among all these special sales, four of them realize a 100% bought-in rate, such as Chinese Painting & Calligraphy by Chen Zizhuang, Contenmporary and Modern Master's Manuscripts, Contenmporary and Modern Master's Manuscripts, etc. This spring auction proves that XiLing Auction still leads the art market in Chinese painting and calligraphy, seal carving and inkstone, showing it spirit of innovating and discovering the value of culture and art.

Since the preview on June 30th, 2010, the population of viewers has exceeded that of any other year. The occupancy rate of hotels around the auction site came to 100%. In addition, this spring auction also promotes the prosperity of industries like catering, printing, advertising, logistics, etc, which demonstrates the dynamic of current art market and the function of culture collection.

In the Special Sale of Seal Cutting by Modern and Contemporary Chinese Masters on July 5th, 2010, a Tianhuang seal carved by Shang Jun was sold at a high price of RMB 5,500,000, which indicates a nice opening of the study series. After the seal cutting sale, inkstone, tea set, and incense utensils are also welcomed by collectors. In this four-day spring auction, aimless price bidding was not seen, but only rational bidders. On the first day of the auction, the hammer price of a painting and calligraphy by Ni Yuanlu reached RMB 18,500,000, which reflected the judgment of the auction house. In the special sale of masters’ manuscripts, the hammer price of nearly every auction item was ten times of the reserve price. Besides, The First Sale of Antique & Semi-Antique Antique Oriental Carpets and Rugs from Persia, Caucasia, and Turkey was also recognized by collectors and buyers, which displayed the integration of art and life.
