With the trust and support from the Shanghai Painting School which contributed energetically to the sale of Guan Liang’s artworks in the Xiling Yinshe 2018 Spring Auction, we are honored to present our collectors the sale of ‘Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy from Momitang Collection’. Featured as dominated by hundreds of classic paintings and calligraphy made by Li Keran, Lin Fengmian, Huang Zhou, Xie Zhiliu, Guan Liang, Qian Songyan, Song Wenzhi, Ye Qianyu, etc. and provided by the family of Xu Changming, a famous Shanghai artist, the sale itself is also an evidence of Xu’s excellent interpersonal relationship, high-quality collection and extraordinary artistic taste. 

                                                               

Xu Changming was born in Wuzhen, Tongxiang of Zhejiang province. He used to learn and design textile patterns and is very good at decoration, craft art design, decorative painting and caricature. While serving as Vice President and Secretary-General of China Artists Association Shanghai Branch and Shanghai Artists Association, a member of Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles, a part-time painter of Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy and a part-time professor of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai University, Xu also has many publications including Xu Changming’s Decorative Paintings, Xu Changming’s Decorative Animal Paintings, Xu Changming’s Caricatures, etc.
