In 2008 spring auction, Bada Shanren's Album of Animals and Vegetables refreshed the record of the house then with 23.52 million yuan. In the Autumn Auction of the same year, one of Pan Tianshou's finest works, Cattle in Spring Pond, made a record of Pan's works with 20.72 million yuan, which proves the value of fine Chinese paintings and calligraphy against a financial crisis. In 2010 autumn auction, Bada Shanren's Mandarin Ducks and Bamboo reached 118.7 million yuan. And Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy by Top Members of Xiling Yinshe has been 100% sold by lot for the third consecutive time since the 2009 autumn auction. In 2011 spring auction, Ren Bonian's masterpiece People's Best Wishes to Emperor Yao is sold with 167 million yuan, a record for Ren's works on auction as well as that of Shanghai Painting School.
